Editorial policy
Sources first
Our articles rely on trusted sources: university extension services, professional organizations such as the American Kennel Club, scientific institutions such as the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, government agencies and published research. Each fact links to its source in the text, and every article lists its sources at the bottom of the page.
How articles are produced
Our articles are drafted with the help of AI writing tools. Before publication, each figure, date and recommendation is compared with the source it cites. An automated check also refuses any article whose sources are not all cited in the text, or that cites a source that is not listed. We do not invent people, quotes, testimonials or personal stories.
Independence
We do not accept payment to publish, change or remove an article. Advertising on this site is supplied by third-party networks and is kept separate from our editorial content.
What we do not cover
We do not publish medical, veterinary, financial or legal advice. If a question involves your health, your money or your pet's health, the right answer comes from a professional who knows your situation: a doctor, a veterinarian or an adviser.
Corrections
If you spot an error, write to us through our contact page. We correct mistakes promptly and show the date of the update at the top of the article.
